nThe 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup Tournament will take place in South Africa between 11th  June 2010 and 12th  July 2010

nThe Hessequa 2010 International Amateur Soccer Tournament will also  take place from 11th  June 2010  until 12th July 2010 in Hessequa Municipal area.
 
nThe first two weeks will be a six-a-side tournament followed by a 11 member team tournament in the second 2 weeks.
 
The following Shared Vision and Partnerships was identified for Hessequa
nParticipative responsible citizens of Hessequa nEntrepreneurs and skilled Hessequa citizens.
nWorld-class Local Tourist Organisation, Products, Services and accommodation.
nEnough safe entertainment areas and places.
nSustainable partnerships between Hessequa Municipality, Eden DM, Province, National, International, Private Sector and Community Based Organisations
nSustainable Hessequa Soccer Culture
 
Hessequa identified the following legacy outcomes from the tournament
nIncreased global, national, provincial and local awareness of Hessequa.
nSustainable job creation, economic growth and tourism growth.
nActive community participation and well developed human capacity.
nSafety in the region.
nWell developed soccer infrastructure.
nA thriving sustainable soccer culture.
nSoccer legacies will be left behind.

nAfter each day’s matches players will watch with the community at CVA’s the World Cup FIFA
matches of the day.
 
nTime will be create for soccer clinics and coaching. nTime will be create for leisure for the teams.

First Aid Training will start at all our school in Hessequa in the near future

n1 500 teams from more than 50 nations take part.

n31 schools are being use for accommodation .
nPlayers are all under 19 years of age.
